The key to a successful media room starts and ends with the TVs.  Don’t’ get me wrong, when your team’s playing everyone else can STFU and pray for a win, else you get blackout and start telling embarrassing stories about how your buddies used to frame the results of their STD tests in college so that girls knew they were safe (girlfriends love those stories, I swear).   Directv offers the Sunday Ticket so that you can enjoy every damn game on TV, so shame on you if you’re not watching at least 5 at once, 1 on the projector and 4 on the LCDs.

But what good are all these screens if you’re not comfortable watching them?   Go out and invest in some stadium seating, get something comfortable because you’ll be spending a ton of them in those seats (it’s surprising how frequently you start seeing your friends when you have the best media room around).

Now the room starts with screens but it ends with amenities.  Kegerator. Kegerator.  Kegerator.  Invest in a good dual-keg set up, because if one runs out you’re sure as hell not running out during the game to fill up.  If you do your team will lose, no doubt about it, it’s science.   And stock the bar well!  Just think about how many times you’ve switched to liquor at halftime when your team was down, and then they came back to win.  If you don’t have liquor available your team will lose, sure as death and taxes, trust me it’s science.
